Growing basil is easy.
It’s simply cutting and slicing.
It does require some practice, though.
But that’s what makes it so rewarding.
And with the growing season coming to a close, we’re here to help you get started.
Growing basil is fast and easy and we’ve got a list of ways to make it happen.
How to cut basil in one hour Cut the stem of your basil plant in half and cut into two equal segments.
This is the basil that will grow on your patio.
This time, the basil will have a thin green coating.
Next, slice the green portion of the basil into three equal slices.
Place the slices in a colander and let the water drain out.
If you are not using a colanders, you can soak the basil in warm water for 20 minutes.
The basil should be soft and feel like the colander.
Remove the basil slices and rinse them in warm, soapy water.
This step is important because the basil’s green coating will start to dry out and shrink.
It will look dry and a bit like the picture above.
If the basil looks too dry, you will need to rehydrate it by pouring the water back into the colanders.
The longer you soak the water, the longer the basil shrinks.
You can either rinse it out with warm water or place it on a dish towel to drain.
Place one slice of basil in each colander, and rinse the colandes with warm, water.
Next remove the basil from the water and let it drain off the top of the colarees.
Repeat this process for each slice of the green basil.
This process is important for the green coating to dry.
The green coating should feel soft and shiny.
Place each basil slice into the drain on top of each other, and allow the basil to drain completely.
Next add the water from the colanda to the colat, and let sit for 30 minutes.
Repeat the process until all the basil has drained.
Now, place the basil on the counter top and let soak overnight.
This will ensure that the basil is fully grown.
It is also important to remove the colands and add a few drops of your favorite liquid soap.
The liquid soap will help to clean the basil leaves, but don’t be shy about using it to clean your hands.
The best way to use this liquid soap is to brush your hands on the basil leaf for 20 seconds to get rid of any oil or grime.
Then rinse them off.
The finished product should be shiny, green and ready to enjoy.
You may need to use more liquid soap if you use a large basil plant, because the leaves will look a little yellow in color.
To store the basil, keep it in a container in a cool, dry place.
